Adult Cardiac Sonographer

Who You Are:

Catholic Medical Center (CMC) is seeking a skilled and dedicated Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer with a strong background in performing both simple and complex echocardiograms for adult and older adult inpatient and outpatient populations. The ideal candidate possess the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to deliver high-quality patient care and work effectively within a medical team. Your expertise includes various echocardiography techniques, and you are committed to maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment.

What You'll Do:

  • Review physician requisitions for completeness and consult medical records for clinical history.
  • Greet patients, confirm identification, explain procedures, and ensure understanding.
  • Perform echocardiograms, including transthoracic, transesophageal, stress, and dobutamine stress echocardiograms.
  • Review images for quality and completeness, and create preliminary reports.
  • Handle peripheral vein IV placement and removal.
  • Conduct safety inspections of equipment and environment, adhering to quality standards.
  • Maintain patient logs, complete paperwork, and manage electronic medical records (EMR).


What You'll Bring:

  • Associate's Degree required. Bachelor of Science Degree preferred.
    • In lieu of a degree, 5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Graduate of an accredited Cardiac Sonography program with 12 months of clinical training. Certificate programs are acceptable.
  • 1-2 years of adult cardiac ultrasound experience.
    • Clinical rotations may be considered as 1 year of experience.
  • Registered or Registry Eligible in Adult Cardiac Sonography by the ARDMS or CCI. Registry must be obtained within 1 year of hire.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
    • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
  • NH state licensure for medical imaging and radiation therapy is required.
