What You'll Do
- Support the lead teacher in delivering daily lessons, assisting with classroom activities, and facilitating group and individual learning.
- Help in creating a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment that fosters student engagement and learning.
- Work closely with students to assist them in developing essential academic skills, providing one-on-one support when necessary.
- Assist with classroom management, including monitoring student behavior and enforcing classroom rules.
- Support the preparation of lesson materials, classroom setup, and cleanup, ensuring all resources are readily available.
- Communicate regularly with the lead teacher regarding student progress and classroom dynamics.
- Foster a positive rapport with students, parents, and fellow educators.
- Participate in school-wide activities and professional development to continue growing as an educator.
What You Bring
- Education: Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework in education or a related field is preferred. Associate's degree or relevant certification is a plus.
- Experience: Previous experience working with children, whether in a classroom, daycare, or similar setting, is highly desirable.
- Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with students and support their learning.
- Collaboration: A team-oriented mindset and the ability to work closely with the lead teacher and other staff members.
- Patience & Adaptability: Patience, creativity, and a flexible approach to working with children of diverse learning styles and needs.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to help with lesson preparation, classroom management, and maintaining an organized learning space.
