What You'll Do

  • Support the lead teacher in delivering daily lessons, assisting with classroom activities, and facilitating group and individual learning.
  • Help in creating a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment that fosters student engagement and learning.
  • Work closely with students to assist them in developing essential academic skills, providing one-on-one support when necessary.
  • Assist with classroom management, including monitoring student behavior and enforcing classroom rules.
  • Support the preparation of lesson materials, classroom setup, and cleanup, ensuring all resources are readily available.
  • Communicate regularly with the lead teacher regarding student progress and classroom dynamics.
  • Foster a positive rapport with students, parents, and fellow educators.
  • Participate in school-wide activities and professional development to continue growing as an educator.


What You Bring

  • Education: Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework in education or a related field is preferred. Associate's degree or relevant certification is a plus.
  • Experience: Previous experience working with children, whether in a classroom, daycare, or similar setting, is highly desirable.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with students and support their learning.
  • Collaboration: A team-oriented mindset and the ability to work closely with the lead teacher and other staff members.
  • Patience & Adaptability: Patience, creativity, and a flexible approach to working with children of diverse learning styles and needs.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to help with lesson preparation, classroom management, and maintaining an organized learning space.
  • Commitment: A passion for education and a commitment to creating a nurturing and supportive learning environment for all students.
