LPN - New England Weight Management Institute

WHO YOU ARE:

As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you be an integral member of the unit-based care delivery team by performing specific patient care activities under the direction of the Clinical Leader/designee. You will perform a variety of direct patient care activities as appropriate within the LPN scope of practice. You will assist with a variety of indirect patient care activities as determined by the specific needs of the unit.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Assists the Registered Nurse in completion of the Nursing Admission Database through patient and family interview, physical assessment, and documentation as delegated by the Registered Nurse.
  • Communicates patient status and assessed needs to the Registered Nurse on an ongoing basis.
  • Reassesses identified aspects of the patient's health status at appropriate intervals, as delegated, and documents as appropriate. Completes all forms which support the continuum of care.
  • Assists the Registered Nurse with problem identification and the development of a plan/standard of care for the patient.
  • Performs direct patient care activities and implements the medical diagnostic and therapeutic orders including medication administration and selected IV therapy skills/ venipuncture, within the LPN scope of practice and as delegated by the Registered Nurse, in accordance with Nursing Organization policies and procedures. Documents care provided according to policy and procedure.


WHAT YOU WILL BRING:

  • Be a graduate from an accredited school of practical nursing.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)


This position is a Monday through Friday, 40 hours a week.
