Who You Are:
As a Specialist, Pre-Registration, for Catholic Medical Center (CMC), your primary role will be to identify registration needs by managing schedules across various ancillary departments. You will gather and enter accurate demographic and financial data into our system, make calls to verify patient demographics and insurance eligibility, and correspond with referring providers and departments for additional information.
This is a full time (40 hours), fully benefitted, Monday through Friday (days), position.
What You'll Do:
• Gather, verify, and enter accurate demographic and financial data for registered patients.
• Call patients who haven't had a visit in the past 30 days or during the beginning of the year to update information.
• Utilize our eligibility vendor to verify all insurances not verified in the past 30 days or at the beginning of the year.
• Assist in authorization verification, providing cross-coverage for absences as needed.
• Work towards achieving pre-determined Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for departmental days ahead to ensure timely registrations.
• Work with departments for new services, address issues with duplicate visits, and handle general questions related to patient services.
• Understand different insurances and their nuances, providing updates to the Supervisor on any changes in the pre-registration process.
What you'll bring:
• Previous experience in patient access or a related field is preferred.
• Familiarity with insurance processes and authorization requirements.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with various departments.
• High school diploma or equivalent
