As a CT Technologist (CT Tech) for Catholic Medical Center (CMC), you have the perfect blend of patient-facing and technical skills. Your calm demeanor combined with your subject matter expertise in Computerized Tomography allow you to give the patient an excellent experience while completing your procedures.
What you'll do:
- Prepare patient, position and perform CT scan procedures according to the CT procedure manual.
- Prepare, calculate appropriate dosage, and/or administer contrast media. i.e., orally, IV, rectally. Start intravenous lines and administer IV contrast.
- Assists the radiologist in biopsies, abscess drainage's and other procedures.
- Recognize emergency situations, initiate code procedures, and administer first aid/CPR.
- Ensure safe CT working environment
- Assist patients on and off CT scan table.
- Demonstrate adequate anatomic positioning skills.
- Utilize devices for immobilization
- Prepare daily safety warm-up and quality control checks on CT scan equipment
What you'll bring:
- 2+ years' experience as an Imaging Technologist (Nuclear Medicine, US, CT or DI) and one year of CT experience highly preferred.
- Proficiency in the following areas (including, but not limited to):
- Cross-sectional anatomy
- Functional use of CT Scanners, Power injector, and Venipuncture
- In the absence of this skill the ability to be trained to a level of competency and obtain certification within 12 months of completing training
- Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology
- Registered by the ARRT (or registry-eligible)
- Licensed in the State of New Hampshire with the Board of Medical Imaging& Radiation Therapy
- CT Certification: if currently trained in CT, must obtain within 12 months of hire
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required
