Department Coordinator - Mom's Place

Who you are:

Embark on a fulfilling role as a Department Coordinator for The Mom's Place for Catholic Medical Center (CMC). In this position, you will be at the heart of coordinating clerical and facilities functions, playing a vital role in the seamless operation of our department.

What you'll do:

• Greet visitors warmly, discern the nature and purpose of their visit, and direct them to the appropriate individual or area.

• Answer and screen incoming calls, directing callers or taking messages to ensure effective communication.

• Coordinate designated aspects of the admission and discharge process, including pre-registration, demographic and insurance verification.

• Meet daily with case management to review and complete charges in an accurate and timely fashion, audits and adjusts patient charges, ensuring accuracy, to accounts as appropriate.

• Send designated patient medical record information to Provider's office after discharge.

• Collaborate with Provider offices and other hospital departments to schedule a variety of patient appointments.

• Complete all aspects of the State of New Hampshire Birth Vital statistics information including birth certificate process, performing notary services in regards to paternity affidavits.

• Maintain state databases with birth data and newborn hearing screening results and collaborate with each state department related to databases and acts as liaison between hospital and city hall for birth record amendments.

• Obtain and maintain Notary Public Certification.

• Complete required certificates/reports and understand criteria that determine appropriate paperwork in relation to fetal death.

What you'll bring:

• Exceptional people skills and a dedication to providing outstanding customer service.

• Preferred clerical experience that showcases your organizational prowess.

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel, is advantageous.

• A high school diploma or Associate's Degree or certificate in related healthcare field preferred.
