Who You Are:
Catholic Medical Center is seeking an LNA to assist the healthcare team by providing basic patient care under the supervision of Registered Nurses (RNs) and physicians. You will focus on monitoring critically ill patients, ensuring their comfort, and helping with various medical and personal care tasks.
What You'll Do:
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, toileting, and feeding.
- Assist with range-of-motion exercises and repositioning for patients, as directed by the healthcare team.
- Help patients with mobility, including transferring them between beds and wheelchairs.
- Measure and record patients' vital signs such as temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and oxygen levels. Document intake and output records, vital signs, and any care provided.
- Assist with continuous monitoring of patients, including checking monitors and medical equipment.
- Assist in the setup, use, and maintenance of medical equipment such as oxygen tanks, heart monitors, and suction machines.
- Follow protocols to prevent infection, including wearing protective equipment and following hand hygiene guidelines.
What You'll Bring:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in health care setting performing similar work activities.
- Basic computer keyboarding and data entry skills required.
- Current registration in the State of New Hampshire as a Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA), required.
- BLS certified. Must maintain BLS throughout employment.
