As Manager, Budget and Reimbursement for Catholic Medical Center (CMC), you are a detail-oriented finance professional with a passion for maximizing third-party reimbursement in a healthcare setting. With a strong background in federal and state reimbursement regulations and managed care contracts, you excel in ensuring financial statements accurately reflect these elements. You bring experience in preparing and filing Medicare/Medicaid cost reports and have a knack for working collaboratively with senior leadership and diverse teams. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are committed to streamlining processes without compromising quality.

This is a fully benefitted exempt full time position, Monday through Friday (40 hours/week)

What You'll Do:

As part of our finance team, you'll play a crucial role in maximizing third-party reimbursements for Catholic Medical Center and its subsidiaries. Your key responsibilities will include:

Cost Reporting: Timely preparation and filing of Medicare/Medicaid/Tricare/Martin's Point cost reports in compliance with federal and state regulations.

Analytical Support: Conducting Wage Index Reviews, Occupational Mix Surveys, and assisting with Intermediary audits and reviews of bad debt and DSH logs.

Monthly Financial Analysis: Reviewing contractual allowances, revenue by payer, bad debt, and other analytics necessary for month-end close.

Budget Preparation: Assisting in the development of operating and capital budgets, ensuring accuracy in patient revenue computations, contractual allowances, and other expenses.

Statistical Oversight: Developing and maintaining accurate monthly statistics and providing related reports and graphs.

Reimbursement Maximization: Investigating reimbursement developments, making recommendations, and ensuring correct payments under DRG and APC mechanisms.

Training and Support: Training hospital directors on the EPSI budget module and providing ongoing support throughout the budget process.

Collaboration: Working closely with directors across the hospital and various departments on ad-hoc analyses and ensuring compliance with federal and state reimbursement regulations.

What You'll Bring

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or Accounting; a Master's degree with an emphasis in Healthcare Finance or Administration is preferred.

• 5-7 years of experience in third-party reimbursement, focusing on Medicare and Medicaid in a healthcare provider setting.

• Proven experience collaborating with senior-level administration and diverse teams.

• Supervisory experience is a plus.

• Proficiency in cost reporting and budget preparation.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Familiarity with financial reporting software, specifically EPSI, is desirable.
