Who You Are:
Catholic Medical Center is seeking a compassionate and skilled Occupational Therapist to join our dedicated team. You will plan and implement treatment programs for patients, collaborating with the healthcare team to provide high-quality care that aligns with our mission, vision, and values.
What You'll Do:
- Evaluate patients to determine skilled occupational therapy needs.
- Develop and explain individualized treatment programs to patients, gaining their input and agreement.
- Conduct re-evaluations and adjust treatment plans and goals based on patient progress.
- Provide comprehensive therapy techniques, including self-care training, splint fabrication, sensory integration, balance and coordination exercises, adaptive equipment use, and daily living skill enhancement.
- Assess and recommend durable medical equipment and home needs.
- Instruct patients and families in the use of medical and adaptive equipment and home exercise programs.
- Supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants during treatment plan implementation.
What You'll Bring:
- Graduate of an approved Occupational Therapy Program (Bachelor's or Master's Degree).
- 3+ years of experience in an outpatient rehabilitation setting preferred.
- Must be licensed in the State of New Hampshire as an Occupational Therapist by the NH Office of Licensed Allied Health Professionals.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Professional memberships encouraged; career goal development required.
- Experience supervising Occupational Therapy students.
- Knowledgeable in AOTA Code of Ethics, strong communication, collaboration, adaptability, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to exert 20-50 pounds of force occasionally, 10-25 pounds frequently, and negligible to 10 pounds constantly.
