Patient Service Representative (Part-Time), Radiology - Diagnostic Imaging

Who You Are:

Catholic Medical Center is seeking an organized and customer-focused individual to support the clerical functions of the Diagnostic Imaging department. You possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks, ensuring seamless scheduling, reception, and image flow management. You are committed to maintaining patient confidentiality and delivering high-quality service.

What You'll Do:

  • Perform reception duties, including answering calls, greeting patients, verifying physician orders, and consenting patients for exams.
  • Schedule procedures, communicate exam preparations, and handle appointment inquiries.
  • Enter and update patient orders and medical history in various PC applications, ensuring accurate documentation for reimbursement.
  • Confirm orders, authorizations, and insurance eligibility as needed.
  • Prepare and distribute images to patients, physicians, and authorized parties, adhering to policy and legal requirements.
  • Assist with image upload into PACS and resolve retrieval issues.
  • Document patient image releases and handle image requests in HIM within Medical Records.
  • Register patients in Sunrise for offsite and onsite x-ray services.


What You'll Bring:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of one year of related experience; medical office experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to operate software relevant to the role.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
