Certified Medical Assistant (Full-Time) - Granite State Internal Medicine

Who You Are:

Catholic Medical Center is seeking a dedicated Certified Medical Assistant to join our team. They will assist healthcare providers in the delivery of patient care, supporting clinical procedures, conducting diagnostic studies, and managing general administrative tasks in compliance with The Joint Commission, CLIA, NCQA, and government standards, as well as company policies.

What You'll Do:

  • Direct patients to examination rooms and assist in preparing them for exams, including dressing/undressing and positioning on the examination table. Obtain and document vital signs, height, weight, and reasons for visits.
  • Review and update patient charts with current medications, immunizations, treatments, and risk assessments. Verify patient pharmacy preferences, preferred laboratory, and advance directives.
  • Assist providers during examinations and procedures, including surgical, GYN, and diagnostic.
  • Administer medications and vaccines as directed by the provider and within the defined scope of practice.
  • Clean, wrap, and sterilize instruments post-procedure and transport them to sterile processing as needed.


What You'll Bring:

  • Graduate of an approved Medical Assistant program. Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification or eligibility to obtain certification within one year of hire (if hired post-2012).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in a medical office setting.
  • Basic computer data entry and keyboarding skills required.
  • Knowledge of ICD-9/CPT coding and insurance procedures.
  • Ability to exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, 10 pounds frequently, and negligible amounts constantly.
