What You'll Do:
- Greet and register patients, ensuring accurate demographic and insurance information.
- Document patient information in the electronic medical record (EMR) system and scan important documents.
- Schedule referrals, lab work, and follow-up appointments.
- Assist providers with patient exams, diagnostic studies, and treatments.
- Take patient vital signs, review medical histories, and verify medications.
- Prepare instrument trays, sterilize equipment, and maintain clinical areas.
- Conduct patient education and provide necessary health information.
- Assist with lab sample processing and manage patient follow-ups.
What You'll Bring:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) certification required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Knowledge of ICD-9 and CPT coding, insurance procedures, and billing practices.
