Catholic Medical Center is seeking an experienced and dedicated pharmacy technician with a strong background in hospital pharmacy operations. This person is skilled in medication preparation and sterile compounding, with a commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care. What You'll Do:
- Assist in the routine preparation of medications and manage inventory.
- Prepare and deliver medications throughout the organization.
- Refill and load medications into automated dispensing machines.
- Compound non-sterile and sterile medications, including hazardous drugs.
- Issue pharmacy supplies to various hospital departments and manage inventory.
- Process patient account charges and credits.
- Lead training for new pharmacy technicians and supervise their onboarding.
- Conduct medication area inspections and ensure compliance with standards.
- Participate in special projects and performance improvement initiatives.
- Maintain cleanliness, orderliness, and accurate recordkeeping in the pharmacy.
- Contribute to emergency preparedness and participate in in-service programs.
What You'll Bring:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 3 years of hospital pharmacy experience and 1 year of sterile compounding experience.
- NH Certified Pharmacy Technician with Sterile Compounding attestation and national certification (PTCB preferred).
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage diverse responsibilities and handle stressful situations effectively.
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of practice and fostering positive team dynamics.
