What You'll Do:
- Process daily charge tickets for incoming patients and manage provider daily schedules.
- Verify patient information, including current address, insurance status, and emergency contact.
- Obtain patient signatures on registration forms and yearly renewals.
- Input patient demographic and insurance data accurately into the system.
- Address patient complaints and resolve issues effectively, escalating when necessary.
- Handle incoming phone calls, take messages, and ensure accurate documentation in patient charts.
- Scan, sort, and file documents into patient charts, following proper guidelines.
- Schedule referrals and specialist appointments, ensuring proper documentation.
- Assist with patient discharges, collecting payments, and processing charges at the time of service.
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail, scan relevant reports into EMR.
What You'll Bring:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Two to three years' experience in health care setting performing similar work activities including, but not limited to clerical, billing or insurance processing.
