What You'll Do

  • Emergency Care: Provide advanced pre-hospital emergency medical care, including assessing patients, administering medications, performing advanced airway management, and using medical equipment.
  • Patient Transport: Safely transport patients to medical facilities, ensuring continuous monitoring and care throughout the journey.
  • Assessment and Treatment: Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine the severity of injuries or illnesses and provide appropriate treatment based on established protocols and medical guidelines.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other emergency medical personnel, including EMTs, paramedics, and hospital staff, to ensure cohesive and effective patient care.
  • Documentation: Accurately document patient care, treatment provided, and other relevant information in patient records and reports.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Ensure that all medical equipment and supplies are properly maintained, stocked, and functional.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate with patients, families, and medical professionals to provide information and updates regarding patient conditions and treatment plans.
  • Training and Development: Participate in ongoing training and development to stay current with the latest medical practices, technologies, and emergency protocols.


What You Bring

  • Certification: Current certification as a Paramedic (e.g., National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) Paramedic certification).
  • Experience: Relevant experience as a paramedic or in a similar emergency medical role is preferred.
  • Skills: Advanced clinical skills, including proficiency in emergency medical procedures, patient assessment, and the use of medical equipment.
  • Communication: Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Decision-Making: Excellent critical thinking and decision-making skills, with the ability to make quick, informed decisions in high-pressure situations.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with other emergency medical personnel and contribute to a team-focused approach to patient care.
  • Physical Stamina: Physical endurance and the ability to perform demanding tasks, including lifting and moving patients and working long shifts.
