RN - Surgical Telemetry Unit

Who you are:

RNs in our Surgical Telemetry Unit care for patients recovering from surgery who require continuous cardiac monitoring, often referred to as telemetry. These patients are generally more stable than those in an ICU but still need specialized care and observation due to potential complications, particularly involving the heart.

  • You are a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse dedicated to providing exceptional patient care.
  • You are adept at managing complexity and uncertainty while fostering a therapeutic environment for patients and their families.
  • You excel in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams and value professional development to stay current in clinical practices.

  • You will assess patient needs, develop individualized care plans, and deliver patient-centered care.
  • You will communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members to ensure high-quality care.
  • Additionally, you will implement medical orders, anticipate complications, and document care in electronic medical records, adhering to hospital policies and safety standards.

What you'll bring:

Flexible to work Days 7am-7pm, 24 hours weekly

  • Education: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing required (BSN preferred); specialty certifications strongly preferred.
  • Licensure/Certification: Current RN registration in New Hampshire and unit-required certifications per hospital policy.
  • Skills: Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency in using electronic health records and experience with technical medical procedures.
  • Experience: Prior experience in a clinical setting, preferably in acute or specialty care.
  • Work Schedule: Flexible work hours including 8-12 hour shifts, weekend coverage, and potential call shifts to meet unit needs.
