Surgical Tech - Operating Room

You are a skilled and compassionate individual who is passionate about assisting surgeons, anesthetists, and registered nurses in delivering high-quality care to patients undergoing surgical procedures. What You Will Do:

As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a crucial role in the perioperative process by:

  • Securing supplies and equipment needed for surgical procedures based on patient requirements.
  • Assisting in the preparation of the operating room using sterile techniques.
  • Anticipating surgeons' preferences and needs during procedures.
  • Performing scrubbing, gowning, and gloving procedures under the direction of registered nurses.
  • Conducting needle, sponge, and instrument counts with accuracy.
  • Creating and maintaining organized sterile fields to ensure patient safety.
  • Demonstrating proficiency in handling surgical instruments, equipment, and suture materials.
  • Following proper protocols for medication handling and administration during procedures.
  • Participating in maintaining inventory and ensuring cost-effective utilization of resources.
  • Providing support to new staff/students through preceptorship and training initiatives.
  • Upholding safety, organizational, and ethical standards in all aspects of your work.


What You Will Bring:

  • Graduate from an approved Surgical Technologist program.
  • Previous OR surgical experience preferred.
  • Surgical Technologist certification preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
  • High School diploma or equivalent
