Licensed Nursing Assistant (Full-Time Days) - Cardiovascular Surg Unit D100

Who You Are:

As a Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) at Catholic Medical Center, you will perform essential technical activities that support the ongoing delivery of quality patient care while ensuring the highest level of patient safety. Your compassionate approach will help us provide optimal care across diverse populations and throughout all stages of life.

What You Will Do:

  • Direct Patient Care: Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating to ensure their comfort and well-being.
  • Vital Signs Monitoring: Measure and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure, and report any changes to the nursing staff.
  • Mobility Support: Aid patients with movement, including transferring them to and from beds, chairs, and wheelchairs, to promote mobility and independence.
  • Observation and Reporting: Monitor patient conditions, document observations, and communicate any significant changes or concerns to the nursing team.
  • Hygiene and Infection Control: Maintain patient hygiene and adhere to infection control protocols to ensure a clean and safe environment.
  • Emotional Support: Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families, contributing to a positive and reassuring experience.
  • Documentation: Accurately document patient care activities and interventions in accordance with facility policies and procedures.
  • Safety and Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and regulatory requirements to ensure patient and staff safety.


What You Will Bring:

  • Certification: Current state licensure or certification as a Nursing Assistant. Active BLS from AHA is required.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred, but we are also open to new graduates of nursing assistant programs.
  • Skills: Excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Physical Stamina: Capability to perform physical tasks such as lifting and moving patients, and standing or walking for extended periods.
  • Compassion: A genuine commitment to providing compassionate care and making a positive impact on patients' lives.
  • Adaptability: Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required by the needs of the facility.
