Who You Are:
Catholic Medical Center is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented medical laboratory professional committed to accuracy and quality. They will be capable of working under pressure and adapting to various laboratory environments and challenges. They are proficient in handling unexpected situations and maintaining a high standard of professionalism.
What You'll Do:
- Perform routine and specialized diagnostic tests on blood and body fluid specimens in areas such as Transfusion Service, Chemistry, Hematology, and Microbiology.
- Interpret clinical lab results, ensure sample integrity, and respond to unusual findings.
- Document and report test results accurately, promptly communicating critical findings.
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment, troubleshoot problems, and conduct preventative maintenance.
- Perform phlebotomy, assist with training new staff and students, and support department inspections and new procedure evaluations.
What You'll Bring:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
- Minimum of one year of MT experience preferred.
- MLS (ASCP) CM or MT (ASCP) preferred; ASCP eligibility required with certification obtained within one year of employment. MLS (ASCP) CM certification must be valid and renewed upon expiration to retain employment.
