What You'll Do:

As a Primary Care Provider (APRN) at Bedford Internal Medicine & Pediatrics, you'll play a vital role in ensuring patients have access to quality care. Your responsibilities will include:

Essential Functions:

  • Conducting comprehensive patient interviews to gather medical history and assess physical and developmental status.
  • Performing thorough physical examinations to obtain objective data.
  • Collaborating with Primary Care Providers (PCPs) to address patient concerns and coordinate treatment plans.
  • Reviewing test results and documenting interactions in the patient's Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
  • Providing patient education and coordinating treatment with other healthcare agencies and organizations.
  • Administering medication, injections, and conducting various medical tests as needed.
  • Developing treatment plans based on assessments and clinical findings.
  • Following up with patients regarding test results and treatment plans.
  • Making referrals to specialists and providing necessary medical information.
  • Participating in staff meetings and maintaining professional relationships with colleagues and external parties.
  • Promoting effective and compassionate care for patients and their families.


Secondary Functions:

  • Assisting with appointment scheduling and coordinating care with other medical providers.
  • Participating in professional development activities and continuing education opportunities.
  • Contributing to clinical meetings to support peer development and teamwork.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety procedures and infection control protocols.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned.


What You'll Bring:

  • Graduate of an accredited APRN program.
  • Five or more years of experience as a registered nurse with a strong medical/surgical background.
  • Current registration as an APRN in adult medicine.
  • BLS certification, maintained throughout employment.
  • Ability to deliver patient care tailored to specific demographics and needs.
  • Proficiency in assessing and adapting treatment plans to meet patient needs.
  • Physical ability to perform essential job functions, including bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to establish positive working relationships.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.


Work Schedule:

  • Generally Monday through Friday, with occasional evening or weekend requirements based on practice schedule.
