What You'll Do:
As a Primary Care Provider (APRN) at Bedford Internal Medicine & Pediatrics, you'll play a vital role in ensuring patients have access to quality care. Your responsibilities will include:
Essential Functions:
- Conducting comprehensive patient interviews to gather medical history and assess physical and developmental status.
- Performing thorough physical examinations to obtain objective data.
- Collaborating with Primary Care Providers (PCPs) to address patient concerns and coordinate treatment plans.
- Reviewing test results and documenting interactions in the patient's Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
- Providing patient education and coordinating treatment with other healthcare agencies and organizations.
- Administering medication, injections, and conducting various medical tests as needed.
- Developing treatment plans based on assessments and clinical findings.
- Following up with patients regarding test results and treatment plans.
- Making referrals to specialists and providing necessary medical information.
- Participating in staff meetings and maintaining professional relationships with colleagues and external parties.
- Promoting effective and compassionate care for patients and their families.
Secondary Functions:
- Assisting with appointment scheduling and coordinating care with other medical providers.
- Participating in professional development activities and continuing education opportunities.
- Contributing to clinical meetings to support peer development and teamwork.
- Ensuring compliance with safety procedures and infection control protocols.
- Performing additional duties as assigned.
What You'll Bring:
- Graduate of an accredited APRN program.
- Five or more years of experience as a registered nurse with a strong medical/surgical background.
- Current registration as an APRN in adult medicine.
- BLS certification, maintained throughout employment.
- Ability to deliver patient care tailored to specific demographics and needs.
- Proficiency in assessing and adapting treatment plans to meet patient needs.
- Physical ability to perform essential job functions, including bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to establish positive working relationships.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Work Schedule:
- Generally Monday through Friday, with occasional evening or weekend requirements based on practice schedule.
